Developing an Architectural Concept
A big focus of todays class is developing and refining your spaces from an architectural concept to a space that is articulated with functions and moulded to accommodate the users designs. Developing a design from a concept through to a resolved piece of architecture can be difficult, you want to maintain fidelity to the driving concept whilst still delivering a piece of architecture that is functional, beautiful and meets the users needs.
The Walt Disney Concert Hall by Frank Gehry is an excellent example of how a design develops from a concept through to a functional building.
First in Architecture has a great page on different ways of developing a concept. You can view it here.
